Gaijin.Cerebrio: doctrina ergo eruditio

“ And as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way he said to them, “See, we are going up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death and deliver him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day.”” (Matthew 20: 17-19)  listen to chapter  (Read by Max McLean. On having a humble opinion of self

There are many things the knowledge of which does little or no good to the soul, and he who concerns himself about things other than those leading to salvation is very unwise.

To think of oneself as nothing and always to think well and highly of others is the best and most perfect wisdom.

So as an after thought to yesterday's takeaway, my endgoal is not the pursuit of knowledge. So why do I still study?

I have to pursue the things that lead to salvation - of others or myself.
